Our mandate embraces everyone who wants to learn dance, to create and to perform. Students who demonstrate their dedication and love for dance and for performance have a chance to be part of this amazing culmination of artistic vision and community effort. Our Nutcracker has made an imprint on the Toronto holiday season as it touches the hearts of many. It can look back to 33 years of magic and look forward to many more years of bringing magic into a season.

Our wonderful dancers will again be performing Nutcracker in four performances, December 2019.

At times we are asked to take our dancing outside the studios to local festivals and special events. YMI Dancing, the school's youth company often is the group representing our school,  however, sometimes they are joined by other classes. Some events where you may have seen our dancers include Dusk Dances, the Guelph Contemporary Dance Festival, Parkdale Village Festival, local churches, community group events and retirement homes.

Let's Dance Festival

Dance as a performing art is recognized at the end of year at our Let’s Dance Festival. Truly a festival of dance, we celebrates the end of a dance year with 8 or 9 performances which are presented over four days. All students from all dance disciplines participate with their class. Each program is as diverse as its dancers. Each program is one hour long and features children from as young as 3 years old to graduating high school students in performance. Creative Movement collaborations, Classical ballet's Variations, National dances and Contemporary dance works each in their own special way highlights the talent nurtured in the course of the year.
