Linden MacIntyre spent fifty years working as a journalist in print, television and radio --- thirty-eight years at the CBC, twenty-four of those years at the fifth estate. Work at the CBC also included seven years as a journalist-producer at The Journal, the CBC’s flagship current affairs program from 1981 to 1991, and three years as host and national editor of the CBC current affairs radio program Sunday Morning. MacIntyre has worked on numerous collaborations between the fifth estate and the PBS documentary program Frontline and also on co-productions with the New York Times. He is the author of six books, four of them novels, one of which, The Bishop’s Man, was 2009 winner of Canada’s top award for literary fiction, the Scotiabank Giller Prize. His latest novel, Punishment, was released by Random House of Canada in November, 2014.
