The Children’s Program is designed to awaken and nurture a love of movement and dance and, at the same time, introduce rhythm, song and sound as a catalyst for movement and expression.

Dance, musicality and expression go hand in hand; each helps the other and, as such, each is important from the moment a child starts his or her first steps at this school.

They can reach their full potential at any level and can become performers and creators of dance at any age. The children are given performance opportunities that are appropriate for each age level: in-class, small presentations and at the year-end show.

Classes are taught by highly qualified teachers and specialists in the field of dance. Our class sizes are capped to ensure that each student receives the attention needed to ensure progress and safe development.

Pia Bouman School for Ballet and Creative Movement offers a nurturing, non-competitive environment.

Theatre Arts for Children

Teacher: Ana Groppler

Theatre Arts program focuses on encouraging children to concentrate on the refinement of their cooperation skills, acquire confidence, and have fun. Students will learn basic theatre skills like pronunciation, improvisation, exploring character, text memorization, and more. We will play trust and cooperation games encouraging students to develop compassion and reliance. We will explore props and costumes as we put together a play to showcase all of our hard work during the year. By learning to express their feelings and playing with the art of theatre, we are giving students the opportunity to open their horizons to new experiences and artistry.
