Tanya Evidente received her ballet training at the National Ballet School of Canada from age 7 to 17. Upon graduation, she began her professional career with Ballet Nacional De Cuba for 2 years under the Artistic Directorship of Alicia Alonso.

Leaving Havana, Cuba, Tanya moved to Barcelona, Spain where she spent 5 years dancing with Ballet Ciutat De Barcelona.

Returning home to Toronto, Tanya joined Ballet Jorgen for 1 year before she joined the National Ballet Of Canada.

Under the Artistic Directorship of James Kudelka and Karen Kain, Tanya continued to perform with the National Ballet for 10 years. By 2007 she retired from the stage to pursue her new career in teaching.

Tanya is currently working towards a degree at York University and is a teacher for Ryerson University in the Dance Department.
